Abstract
This study looks at the process of advising in undergraduate institutions, using New College of Florida as a case study. Based on the results of a survey that was created by Brown University with support from the Teagle Grant Foundation, it was found that students are not satisfied with the current advising program at New College. Based on the work of the group, it was also found that faculty agree that there are problems with the current advising program. This study identifies some problems with advising from the perspectives of both the faculty and students. Finally, this study offers suggestions for change.
