Abstract
This thesis discusses Dennett's Multiple Drafts model of consciousness with regard to the implications for Artificial Intelligence research. The current state of AI research is discussed, and possible future questions are suggested. Possibilities for achieving an Artificial Consciousness are considered, and an attempt is made to precisely define consciousness as opposed to intelligence. Finally, the possibility of an Artificial Consciousness is established, and unanswered questions are aired for consideration.
