Abstract
The website presented in this paper serves as a platform for students to interact, collaborate, and share knowledge in an academic setting. Key achievements include the implementation of essential features such as forum creation, post management (creation, editing, deletion), comment functionality (creation, editing, deletion), user registration and login, user management (updating information), and an unread comment notification system. Additionally, the website features a homepage that displays recent posts and user-specific posts, providing users with easy access to relevant content. However, certain limitations were encountered during the development process. Implementing comments in reply to existing comments proved challenging, particularly in the management of comment threading and nesting while maintaining a clear user interface. Furthermore, designing the UI to be both functional and visually appealing required many iterations. Future work on the website could focus on addressing the previously mentioned limitations and expanding the existing functionality. One area for improvement is to give users more control over forum moderation, including the implementation of moderation tools and user reporting. With the implementation of strong moderation tools, the ability for users to upload videos and images would provide increased engagement and a more enriching experience overall. In summary, the website in its current form has achieved significant milestones in providing a platform for students to engage with each other. Despite some limitations, the website lays a solid foundation for future enhancements and developments, with the potential to foster a vibrant online community.
