Abstract
This thesis presents the processes and results of a student’s research and the introductory statistics educational videos that were produced as a result. The goal of this thesis was to better understand the usage of third-party media in different classrooms teaching styles, and to create functional videos to assist entry-level students in learning new statistics concepts. Research was done prior to recording, and shed light on the reality that while unnecessary in the classroom, alternative apps or media provide a novelty to the class, enhancing the learning experience for all levels of students. With a background in video production, the introductory videos are further explained in detail to be clean, personable, and relatable in material to undergraduate students. Students require short and digestible teaching methods, which has been a primary mechanism of the introductory videos uploaded onto the “Art of Stat Student” Youtube channel.
