Abstract

This thesis consists of two parts. The first part is meant to be a first version of a self-contained textbook on logic, covering propositional, zeroth-order, and first-order logic up to and including the soundness and completeness theorems. The second part is a commentary reflecting on philosophical and pedagogical themes relevant to the first portion.
