Abstract

This thesis examines the differences in the development process of the Flutter framework and native Android development with Kotlin and assesses the suitability of these tools for different development scenarios. I accomplish this by creating a dictionary application in both frameworks and documenting the differences between the processes. I examine these differences through the lens of a programmer who is not experienced with mobile development. The purpose of this thesis is to help guide developers who are inexperienced in mobile development and wish to make small-scale mobile applications into choosing a framework.
