Abstract

This thesis project is a narrative analysis of my experience with embodied learning. I followed a program of personal research in an attempt to find meaning in my life and connect it with my academic work. The areas of inquiry included physical exercise, past examples of my creative process, and the experience of working on a thesis. Writing biographical narratives of my experiences in these areas allowed me to analyze them for thematic content and connect them back to the larger picture of my academic career. In practicing embodied learning, I encountered a new level of understanding that has changed the way I will approach academic work in the future.
