Abstract
While working in Idaho with the United States Forest Service I learned the key to working hard and accomplishing goals that I set for myself. During my trip out West I learned invaluable lessons about how to persevere and overcome challenges. Working hours and hours doing manual labor is not a job for everybody, but what is the deciding factor between those who can and those who cannot? The purpose of this paper is to examine and discover, through personal experiences, how willpower and motivation are unlocked and achieved.
