Abstract
When the individual is struck by the revelation of her own absurdity in relation to the universe, she responds to this with a feeling of despair. These feelings are brought on by the fact that she feels that her life is meaningless in relation to her ability to conceive of that life as having meaning. She is capable of conceiving of her life as having a true and lasting meaning, but she is unable to find it. From this, she may find that life is not worth continuing. I believe that in order for her to recover her zeal for life, she should turn to the works of stand-up comedians. Their acts will help her come to terms with her absurdity, and allow her to find reasons to continue her life without the feeling of a greater meaning.
