Abstract
This experiment is a follow up to previous work investigating the conservation of stress mechanisms and serotonergic function in teleosts as compared to other chordates. The effects of manipulating elements of the serotonin system were tested on goldfish (Carassius auratus), which were subjected to the shuttle-box two-way avoidance paradigm.
