Abstract
Presenting an array of sculptures, works on paper, and a melting installation, OoooOO0ooOOOoooo0O0ze deals with sensuality and fleshiness of form and materials. It investigates fleshiness and excess while dealing with futility in life and in art. It humbly attempts to resolve the split between body and mind. It is unmonumental. All works presented emphasize the process of making as integral to the internal structures of the finished pieces, and the works track a journey through a long-winded inquiry into active uselessness in form and in meaning. The term ooze is used in order to address both psychic residue called forth by the use of tactile objects, as well as the conflation of various materials resulting in a body of work that travels from formalist to ecstatic.
