Abstract
Good and Evil are two things that are difficult to pin down in regards to what they mean. These two positions in the world are really just two different viewpoints, as anything one person takes for evil, another could take for good. Was it a good thing in the story of Noah and the Ark, when most of the people in the world were killed? Im sure the people who were drowned didnt think so. This piece is about viewpoints, the subjectivity of right and wrong, and where we as people stand in the center of it all. People are constantly torn between doing the culturally right thing, and being selfish and just doing whatever they want for themselves. This good and evil nature of our world is something that we cant escape. We are forced to know that these two sides are always pressuring us to go to them, and for the most part we have a choice as to which one we want to go to. But that wont ever stop the fighting, as people will always fight amongst themselves, just as the battle of Good and Evil will always rage on. Sides will always exist, as the things that create them, Ideas, will always exist. Ideas are powerful things as they lead nations to war and people to fight. They are what separate in peoples minds the sides of Good and Evil. Then again, ideas are just different viewpoints. And while different viewpoints make us each unique people, the ideas that come of them cause us to exert them on other people through talk or steel. Standing in the middle of the path of battle, humanity cant ignore the pull of the two sides, and choosing is something that we must endure. Or, we could just fight to maintain our own side. A side that stands in the middle of understanding.
