Description
Folio containing Peter Lombard, Sentences, Book 1, Distinctio 20.3.6-22.5.2: "…orem melioremque serpens gigneret filium…/…ita ait, Quicquid ad se dicitur…"
Single folio ruled in hard point and written in two columns in black ink (with text beginning above the top ruled line). Short running head: "liber" (recto) "p[rim]o" (verso). Rubricated chapter titles and marginal callouts; 2-line initials in alternating red and light blue with simple filigree-style pen-flourishing of black on red and red on blue. Folio was formerly used as a pastedown or binding: its corners are cut off and the imprint caused by wear on the edges of a smaller book is clearly visible.
